Third Coast Tree Care

I started working in the Tree Care Industry in 2015, after graduating from the University of Michigan with a degree in Environmental Science.

I worked for Guardian Tree Experts of Ann Arbor Michigan as a Crew Leader, Plant Healthcare Technician, and Tree Planting Specialist. Working for Jack Richardson at Guardian gave me a wealth of experience, and a world-class education in Arboriculture.

In 2017, I married my awesome wife, Amanda Rodriguez-Newhall who also loves trees. She is always encouraging me to pursue my interests, advance my career, and have fun.

We lived in Lexington Virginia for two years, where I worked for Buffalo Creek Nursery and Tree Service, as well as Green Valley Landscapes. There, I deepened my knowledge of Tree Physiology, Pathology, and Orchard Management.  Working with Raleigh Mason and Ruth Huffman gave me the confidence to take my craft to the next level and start my own business.

After moving to Los Angeles in the Summer of 2022, I started my business Third Coast Tree Care. The phrase "Third Coast" is a reference to the many miles of beautiful coastline defined by the Great Lakes in my home state of Michigan.

I am the sole owner/operator of my business. I also work closely with Rebecca Latta Consulting. Rebecca is one of the most experienced and knowledgeable Arborists that I have ever worked with. She has helped my career tremendously.
